Dear Ann Eliza
I have read your letter and shall answer your curiosities. In the future we often do not use letters anymore. Letters are mainly used for special occasions like a birthday card, get well card, letters to Santa, or a congratulatory card. Instead we use something called social media instead. Social media is very large and diverse system where we can send our messages without paper. I know it may sound crazy, but the future is very different. These messages travel through the internet to all sorts of people, be it friends, children, foreigners, politicians, family, and many more.
One of these social media centers would be Facebook. Facebook is where you can send messages between all sorts of people. You can often use it to keep in touch with those close to you from far away distances. The messages are also able to contain pictures as well if you want to show them some great events. The pictures are taken instantly with certain items as well so you won't have to take several hours to make one either.
Another would be Twitter. Twitter however is mostly used for small messages as it has a maximum of 140 characters used for each message. This will make it so that you can't tell a story, or letters. It is more of a small notice sent to other people. An example would be "Just finished taking care of the kids, they had lots of energy." This may show others that you are being dutiful in your duties as a mother, and that they are growing up healthy to others.
Next are the blogs. You may notice that these names are very strange, but the just got popular and were accepted eventually. Blogs to me are more of a place to send and share your opinions with other people that you probably don't know. These messages are view able by anyone with access to the internet. You can use these to promote certain ideas and gain supporters while communicating with other people about the subjects of your messages. It is very useful for many things.
If I were to warn you about anything you should look out for it would be how much you tell others about yourself. It is one thing to tell your friends in person another to tell strangers information about yourself. They may somehow use this information against you, but you may also use a different name as well. You also shouldn't make these messages all that you do with your friends. You should still meet up with them.
I hope that this information helps you a lot.
Sincerely,
Chris Howe
